When our vet reached out to us a few short weeks ago to help save an 18 month old Pregnant, Parvo positive puppy we knew we couldn't say no. Sadly her owner brought her in to be put to sleep because they could not afford her treatment. Fast forward 4 days later, at about a week early, 8 tiny premature puppies were born via emergency cesarean section. The entire family was literally fighting for their lives! To give the puppies the very best hope at survival & hopefully not contract the deadly Parvo virus, they were immediately taken from their mom. Our wonderful board member Marie and puppy guru Jessica have painstakingly bottle fed the puppies every few hours. Sadly all but 3 puppies were not strong enough to survive. Every day that passes the remaining 3 puppies have a higher chance at survival. Life is so very precious...
